Blog Entry: March 11, 2010 - Thursday I was on the road to nowhere Category: Life Mark Twain once said that everyone should cross their fingers at least once in their life. When you are on the road to nowhere, you must admit that you are crossing your fingers even if it is not visible to anyone else. The road to nowhere is deceiving. You are on it for years before you realize where you are going. And where you are going feels as though it will take a whole lifetime to give back to you what it robbed you of. The road to nowhere is about 43 years long. You can quote me on that. Then, out of nowhere you have your epiphany. You realize that you have been heading in the wrong direction and make a swift 360 degree turn and viola you are now on the road to success. Wouldn't it be nice if we never had to cross our fingers, and we didn't have to waste our youth doing things like rope swinging and skipping school, or kissing your first love under the baseball bleachers. Turned out he wasn't "The One" anyway. Wasting your nights sobbing because nothing is going right and no matter how hard you work it seems like no one appreciates it. why doesn't that one notice me? Well, I wanted to share with Mark Twain that I had my fingers crossed, and my toes, and one eye shut, and legs crossed .......then, I fell over with all my ridiculous ideas. But, through it all I was able to enjoy every minute because I reflected on your stories that were thoughtfully written and shared with me. I ate up every word and every adventure and then, I made my own while on the road to nowhere. It was worth it. Every time I read a story from someone's life I think of Mark Twain. http://www.greatsmokies.com/roadnowhere.html http://video.aol.com/video-detail/bullet-for-my-valentine-road-to-nowhere-guitar-cover/1579511746
