Egg Recall
Posted On 08/26/2010 08:47:37 by An-American-Taxpayer
Wright County Egg AKA Austin "Jack" DeCoster and his operations have recalled 550,000,000 eggs that ate contaminated with Salmonella.
I have to ask where was the FDA,  where was the USDA ?
Are not the FDA & USDA charged with protecting our food supply ?
Why has the Government not gone in and closed down these facilities ?
Why has the Government allowed these facilities to continue operations ?
I think the Government should just go in close do... Read More

9/50 is Failing Grade for Grant Program
Posted On 08/25/2010 16:15:38 by ppearson2005
I am outraged at the current education policy in grant funding! 41 US States will not receive any funding from the "Race to the Top" program. Good intentions aside, only 9 states benefitted from this program.   9/50 = Failure   If anyone is still wondering why education is lacking, policy leads the way to failure.   This is one of the worst methods of funding needy schools. Raise your standards Washington!... Read More

Oppression Alive and Well
Posted On 08/19/2010 15:38:45 by ppearson2005
People in the United States are still struggling with oppression. There is no class in the middle or lower parts that is not afflicted by this travesty.   If you aren't out of work, you aren't getting any hours to support your families.   The government does not enforce the labor laws to protect people from illegal firings.   Employers are violating labor rules and not providing verification of employment.   Employers are stealing the workers retirement, investments, and ... Posted On 08/16/2010 16:34:38 by California_Resident
Meg Whitman has created an attack website (see below),
"Brown signs into law collective bargaining rights for public employee unions". Meg,  as a California Resident I have the right to to decide if I want to unionize.
"Brown runs for president for the third time and loses to Bill Clinton". Meg,  WTF ?
Brown leaves the governorship with 1.3 million Californians out of work Meg,  according to you,  you want to cut 40,000 State Jobs ?

$104 Million to become Governor ?
Posted On 08/15/2010 11:02:24 by California_Resident
I must question the mental health of Meg Whitman.  Meg Whitman has spent $104 million dollars of her own money to try and win the election for California Governor.
$104 million dollars makes me think that she has an over developed ego.
$104 million dollars makes me think back to the craigslist vs ebay lawsuit which was held in a Delaware court,  the comment was something to the effect of "Mean Meg".
Meg,  you should enjoy your money,  travel,... Read More

The RN Learning Center & Junelou Chalico Enterina have been operating the Los Angeles based school.  300 students paid $20,000 each which equates to $6,000,000.00
The California AG Jerry Brown and the California Nursing Board reached a settlement which requires that Junelou Chalico Enterina pay $500,000.00 in restitution.
So the State of California not onl... Read More

When People Could Live on Pennies - To Coin a Phrase
Posted On 08/08/2010 16:03:14 by ppearson2005
As of March 2008, it cost the U.S. Mint 1.7 cents to make a penny, 70% more than the value of the coin.

When people could live on pennies,
A woman could buy penny loafers,
A man could get his shoes shined,
And a child could eat to his hearts content.

When people could live on a dollar,
A woman could buy a little house with a garden,
A man could purchase an acre of land in Texas,
A child could pay for college.

a tax write off of social security taxes should be added to the tax return to elliminate the triple taxation currently in place. Currently, the wage earn... Read More

California Unreported Profits??
Posted On 08/05/2010 20:20:09 by ppearson2005
I came across the California State Auditors Statement of Securities Accountability of the State Treasurer's Office dated December 31, 2009. July 2010 numbers are reported here. Looks like there is a lot of revenue that I am not seeing when it comes to the budget. I don't understand much about these funds but, I wondered about a specific program being run by the State - The State Auto Insurance Program.

Hey Bernanke, Ask the burning bush!

What does commercial paper have to do with the current economic downturn?

I don't know much about this stuff but, I do know when you reduce the number of non-financial loans by a really large amount in 2000 - 2003 of almost $400 billion or so,  and then again on 2007 by another $300 Billion in 3 months, that those huge amounts hurt!

I wonder if the companies who use this type of funding, use it for their payroll costs? You know, short-term non-financial financing is ch... Read More
