It is not just my own complaint but a general consensus that California's department EDD is mishandling the unemployment
claims they are receiving. I myself filed a claim on October 9th. I had to wait until November 5 phone interview to be paid my 4 weeks. My claim expired on November 14th. EDD is withholding weeks ending November 7th and 14th and have not issued any additional claim forms because they are having me go through the phone interview process again.
