I would like to relate my interactions with the Kaiser HMO system in the last 12 months. First let me start by saying that I pay approx. $10.000.00 per year in health insurance premiums for me and my husband no kids with a deductible of over $3,000.00 each per year. It is my understanding that many of the unemployed do not get hired because they do not pass the background check. It is my suggestion that the State of California EDD Office offer this service that is good for 6 months. The service would provide verification of Employment, Criminal Background, Skills verification, and Reference Checks. There are at least 45 million people unemployed in the United States. While Wall Street and people who have no understanding of the incredible problem facing the United States, a voice in the wilderness needs to be heard. Yesterday June 5, 2009 Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger held a open question session at the Sacramento Bee offices where citizens could submit questions. The Gov. blamed the entire State Budget Crisis on "State Employees" and the "Unbelievable Benefits" they receive.
