Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) announced the award of $127.5 million dollars in Stimulus money for the purchase and installation of smart electric meters.
I have no problem with the award to SMUD or updating the electric grid,  I do however have a problem with SMUD teaming up with Landis+Gyr of Switzerland for this project.

I have to ask this question,  why did the state of Florida spend money to bring this person back to the US,  why is Florida going to spend money for a trial,  why is florida going to spend money for a defense attorney for this person,  if this person is convicted Florida will spend even more money to house and feed this person and to pay for his appeals.
