High Country Pack Trip
Posted On 08/21/2011 20:57:18 by GrapevineTravelAdventures
Imagine riding a horse through snow on a warm sunny day in August.  This may sound like an impossible contradiction, but I did just that on a high country pack trip with Icicle Outfitters & Guides of Washington State.

Icicle Outfitters offers everything from day rides near Leavenworth and at Lake Wenatchee State Park, to drop camps where they pack in gear for hikers or hunters, to full service pack trips.  In the winter they even have sleigh rides.

Looking for a Bargain?
Posted On 01/15/2011 11:43:33 by okcrick
Oklahoma City tops the list for Bargain Retirement.  The following is a quote from Zack O'Malley Greenburg, A Writer with Forbes. ” Oklahoma City ranks first on our list because of its low cost of living, stable home prices, low taxes and a very reasonable average home price of $78 per square foot. That's half the cost of square footage in Miami, one-tenth of what you'd pay in Boston and one-fifteenth the greater New York City area”. Th... Read More

QuickBook features come & go
Posted On 10/01/2010 04:50:56 by bookkeeper
I have QuickBooks Pro 2007,  I use this everyday,  I do not do payroll so I have no reason to purchase a newer verion of the software.   However I was trying to send an invoice via email yesterday from my QuickBooks only to be presented with a screen notice that this feature was no longer available and the only way for me to email my invoices was to purchase the new QuickBooks Pro 2010.   How can QuickBooks sell a product that has time bombs that disable features you paid for... How to End the Deficit
Posted On 06/02/2010 11:22:58 by CrockPotPatty
June 2, 2010 - Wednesday
I just read a New York Times article on a jobs bill. It is truly needed right now and I do believe the cost is minimal for what you get in return.

His article argues about the budget deficit. ok guys lets be short and frank.

There are only two alternatives that have been given to the public.
1) Spend what you don't have
2) Cut more than you should in sp... Read More

Our Broken Government
Posted On 02/23/2010 06:44:44 by An-American-Taxpayer
So you are pissed of at the government !
What is your issue ?
This 2010 the year of the Census.  If you refuse to complete your 2010 Census Forms then there is no population.  What happens if there is no population,  then there is no population for the Congressmen and Senators to represent.
The only way for the Government to listen to the Citizens is to show that we can wipe out the entire Congress and Senate by not completing our Census Forms until they... Read More

Tiger Woods came a flyin', chased by his spouse..

She wielded a nine iron and wasn't too merry,
Cause a bimbo's phone num... Read More

Oklahoma foreclosures
Posted On 01/17/2009 20:51:25 by okcrick
Oklahoma foreclosures and disclosures. I have had a lot of prospects in the past few months that were only interested in foreclosures.  I have the utmost respect for the type of home a buyer is interested in, but think the general public has a lot to learn about the definition of foreclosure and what the word often means in home buying. The word foreclosure is basically a legal term that dates back to at least 1713.  It has nothing to do with being a happy home owner and in fact, is s... Read More

MLS Searches
Posted On 12/11/2008 12:26:29 by okcrick
Living in Oklahoma City, I was happyto see the Google search phrase (mls search) bring up an OklahomaMLS.something on the top of the string.  If I was a home buyer, it might have manipulated me to an avenue of buying a home.  However, out of the first page of results, there wasn't any links that took me closer to an actual search of the Oklahoma City and Edmond area.  Some of the links had Oklahoma Metropolitan listings advertised, yet there were no actual live searches. &nbs...
