Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) announced the award of $127.5 million dollars in Stimulus Money for the purchase and installation of
smart electric meters.
I have no problem with the award to SMUD or updating the electric grid, I do however have a problem with SMUD teaming up with Landis+Gyr of Switzerland for this project.
