This ballot is to raise a new tax on each property of $38.00 per year per house for the City Landscaping Plan.  This is not a fixed amount,  according to the ballot this amount will be increased by 3% per year.

1)Write to your Congressman and Senator demand that all products sold are clearly marked on the outside packaging the percentage of labor and materials from every country of origin. This way Americans can make an informed purchasing decisio... Read More

Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) announced the award of $127.5 million dollars in Stimulus Money for the purchase and installation of smart electric meters.
I have no problem with the award to SMUD or updating the electric grid,  I do however have a problem with SMUD teaming up with Landis+Gyr of Switzerland for this project.
This is Federal Taxpayer Money,  and I want to know why SMUD is awarding contracts to a Company in Switzerland for the pro... Read More

The following is a little nugget for first time home buyers written by Dreams Do Come True.
If you think you have until Nov 31st to take advantage of the $8000 tax credit, you are wrong! Many buyers are procrastinators.  They see a sale ad for a local store and notice that the sale expires at 6:00 on Saturday.  So they rush in the door at 5:30.  They don't want to miss out, but put off going until the last minute. If you are one of those buyers and think that you have unti... Read More
