The US Government and the Highly Paid Law Makers are at it again.
Yes President Obama tried to do a good thing with the Stimulus Program, however there is money being wasted on stupid things Associate Professor Tammy Henderson of Oklahoma State University has received $1.1 million dollars to produce a study on Alaskan grandparents. Please tell me how this will produce jobs.
A project to expand the Port of Anchorage was awarded $75,000.000.00 dollars, this project was to be all permitted and ready to go. This job was to produce 1,500 jobs. However only 2 jobs are listed as available on their website.
The cost of a fully insulated yurt is approx $15,000.00 and the cost of a Life Cube is $6,500.00 with the money spent on just these 2 Stimulus Projects I could of purchased 5,073 yurts form Pacific Yurts or I could of purchased 11,707 life cubes from The Inflatable World.
I would also of purchased 5 of the Waterless Sanitation Systems and reverse engineered to manufacturer them in the United States.
I would of mandated that the companies making the Yurts, Life Cubes and Waterless Sanitation Systems hire employees who are jobless. This would provide additional job skills.
Yes these would be temporary jobs, however the other jobs provided by stimulus program are also temporary jobs.
I would provide the yurts to families, who would later be able to purchase land to place the Yurts on. I would provide the Life Cubes to the elderly.
These housing units are portable yet permeant. The 30' Yurts can be set up in 2 to 3 days. The Life Cubes in under 20 minutes.
I would set up area in City, County, State and Federal unused lands were these units could be set up a specified period of time.
I am sick and tired of people stating "NOT IN MY BACKYARD", The City of Roseville, CA has under construction a very large parking structure. If we were to place 2 Life Cubes per floor we could get 8 to 10 elderly people who are living on the park benches in from of the post office in to warm housing.
Being a Law Maker was originally called "PUBLIC SERVICE", however there is no public service now just a way for people to become RICH.
Our OVERPAID Law Makers need to start using common sense when spending our taxpayer money.
We need to STOP providing incentives in the form of "CASH WELFARE" for people to keep having kids and never work.
We need to STOP providing incentives in the form of "CASH SSI" for people because there children have ADHD.
If we MANDATED that ALL future residential and commercial buildings contained the Waterless Sanitation Systems, think of the future jobs.
If we MANDATED that ALL future residential and commercial buildings contained the Waterless Sanitation Systems, think of the future water savings.
If I was awarded just the monies from 50 of the lowest Stimulus Grants, just think of the job skills, new technology, water savings and families and homeless elderly people I could of helped.
I do not have a Harvard Law Degree like President Obama or his advisors, however you do not need a Harvard Law Degree, just "COMMON SENSE".
