Dr. Elizabeth Pahk Cressman and Dr. Frederick K. Cressman retired physicians have donated 10 million dollars to the Speed Art Museum to build a piazza and sculpture garden.
In todays economic crisis I am baffled by this gift.
What could I do to help the citizens of Louisville with 10 million dollars ?
1. I could open a free health clinic or donate to an existing one.
2. I could open a food bank or donate to an existing one.
3. I could provide scholarships to needy students.
4. I could provide low cost housing to the working poor through Habitat for Humanity.
5. I could provide warm coats for the needy.
6. I could provide hot meals for the homeless.
7. I could provide computers to local schools.
Or I could do all of theses things.
