I turned on my cable TV that I haven't had in over two years. The first channels I went to were Span and any government coverage I could find. I found what I was looking for. It was a room full of a whole five Republican Senators arguing their case against the Universal Medical Bill.

I too am a Republican (liberal) and am uncertain how much money we should give to the Federal Government when we are not certain that Social Security will be around. I paid a whole lot of my hard earned - low income taxes for that program.

So, I am listening to the reason that these Senators do not support the Medical Bill. The argument was the use of public funding for abortion. Now I am not for abortion as a method of birth control but, I am pro choice. There are too many scenarios to list, but a woman should have the right to choose.

After listening to the Senators moaning and groaning, I was astonished that no one put the Senators down. (Mid-west expression) I am watching men argue about how the Medical plans should be used. Suppose these guys decide that Cancer is too expensive. Aren't these the same people that prevent people with pre-existing conditions from getting coverage?

Since when do the Senators decide what Medical coverage or procedures we should be entitled to? Their job is to pass a bill providing medical coverage to all Americans. That is it. The procedures and treatments are between the doctor and patient. Of course there should be requirements that all of these be supported by the AMA and not unnecessary. Beyond those conditions, should there be anything that would not be covered? That is the real question.

Senators, you don't speak for me. You sound like you speak for the extreme right. Truths is when any American lay in a hospital on the new universal medical plan and find out that our medical won't cover a needed procedure, will you really be the spokesperson for this type of medical coverage? I sure the hell won't!
