It is my understanding that many of the unemployed do not get hired because they do not pass the background check. It is my suggestion that the State of California EDD Office offer this service that is good for 6 months.

The service would provide verification of Employment, Criminal Background, Skills verification, and Reference Checks.

The service will provide needed income to the State while providing a necessary service to the Unemployed. This Background check would ensure that employment is no longer hindered by application errors or inaccurate or incompetent background research.

I personally did not get hired because an employer failed to provide the needed verification of employment which is a violation of the State and Federal Laws. Fines for this type of violation would also provide revenue to the State.

Please, consider this service a necessary method of reducing the permanently unemployed.
