US Senate Race in California
OFFLINE

Today I received the email below from MoveOn.org.

It looks like Barbara Boxer is running scared.

I can tell you I for one will not be voting for Barbara Boxer,  I have not seen Barbara Boxer do anything for California.

  • We still have illegal aliens entering our State at staggering rates
  • We still have high unemployment
  • We still have the Government wiretapping phones without a warrant
  • We still have people being arrested and placed in hidden jails with no access to a lawyer.
  • We still have DEA conducting raids on Medical Marijuana Centers
  • We still have students graduating from High School who can not read.
  • We still have students graduating from High School who can not balance a checkbook.
  • We still have job discrimination.
  • We still have discrimination in how the justice system treats male vs female child molesters.
  • We still have Government Employees spending there work time viewing porn and keeping their jobs (SEC).
  • We still have unsafe food being sold everyday.
  • We still have unsafe drugs being sold everyday.
  • We still have unsafe products being imported from Mexico & China everyday.
  • We still have jobs being outsourced to other countries.
  • We still have fake drugs being sold via spam.

I will NOT be voting for Barbara Boxer or Carly Fiorina,  we need someone in office to represent California who has common sense not deep pockets.

Dear MoveOn member,

MoveOn has endorsed progressive hero Barbara Boxer for U.S. Senate in California. It's up to all of us to stop the corporate takeover of Congress—you can volunteer with the campaign here:

Below is a special message for you from Barbara Boxer.

Thanks for all you do.

–Steven, Anna, Duncan, Adam, Carrie, and the rest of the team

Dear MoveOn members and fellow Californians,

I'm sure you know that I am facing one of the toughest races ever. And I'm so pleased that MoveOn.org has given me their official endorsement!

My opponent, Carly Fiorina, is traveling up and down the state launching negative attacks. She's already poured more than $5 million of her own personal wealth into her campaign -- in addition to millions of dollars in attack ads coming from Karl Rove, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Right to Life, and other right-wing special interest groups.

But I have something that's much more powerful than any of our right-wing opponents: grassroots supporters like you in California and across the country.

Will you stand with me now?

Please contribute to my campaign now -- and stand with me in the days and weeks ahead!

On issue after issue -- creating jobs, defending a woman's right to choose, fighting climate change, protecting our beautiful coast, ending two wars, fighting for equality and justice, and so many other important issues -- the choice couldn't be clearer in this election.

I know that we will win if the people of California learn about the clear choice before them. But to get my message out, I need your help today.

Please contribute to my campaign now -- and stand with me in the days and weeks ahead!

Thank you so much for standing with me. I couldn't do it without you.

In Friendship,

Barbara Boxer
U.S. Senator
