Yesterday was a great day when the police announce that Jaycee Dugard was found alive after being abducted 18 years ago from outside her home in South Lake Tahoe.

However as a mother, grandmother and citizen have some serious questions about why this poor child was not found sooner.  And was subjected to 18 years of being held captive, raped, and forced to bear 2 children by her rapist.

Phillip Garrido was on Lifetime Federal Parol, therefore subject to search at anytime for any reason.  Why did the parole officer not do a better search of the home & property.

With a simple Google or Bing map,  I could see the complete backyard with the tarps covering the sheds that this girl and her children were required to live in.

Why did the neighbors not call the police and report that this man was strange ?

A most important question is do the neighbors not know who lives around them ?  Do they not check the Sex Offenders Database on a regular basis ?  I check this database every month to see who has moved in to my area.

If the house where Jaycee was held captive is owned by Phillip & Nancy Garrido I hope the Judge at their trial awards it to Jaycee so se can sell it and use the money to pay for Mental Health Care for her self and her children.

I also hope that justice is swift and that Jaycee and her children are allowed to heal and that this court process does not drag out for 2 or 3 years.
