California Fails Background Checks
Posted On 07/29/2010 19:42:38 by ppearson2005
It is my understanding that many of the unemployed do not get hired because they do not pass the background check. It is my suggestion that the State of California EDD Office offer this service that is good for 6 months.

The service would provide verification of Employment, Criminal Background, Skills verification, and Reference Checks.

The service will provide needed income to the State while providing a necessary service to the Unemployed. This Background check w... Read More

A lobbyist who frequents the California State Capitol is has placed an ad on craigslist.
There is nothing nefarious about placing ads on craigslist and stating that you are a lobbyist.
However this ad was placed in the Adult Gigs Section of the Sacramento craigslist.
This lobbyist is looking for a "Kept Woman",  the offer includes free rent in his River Side condo,  use of the car and toys,  and a gold card.
I do not know what comp... Read More

Posted On 07/21/2010 11:05:29 by California_Resident

John & Jeanette Freitas who owned a home in Ripon,  removed fixture & appliances prior to the home going into foreclosure.  Now the County has decided to prosecute for theft.
So is San Joaquin County going to prosecute John & Jeanette Freitas for stealing from themselves ?... Read More

Posted On 07/11/2010 09:39:55 by BadBoss
The LA Times and the New York Times are reporting that former the Ebay CEO Meg Whitman shoved another Ebay employee in June 2007,  the employee later received a confidential 6 figure settlement.   As a California resident this brings up manny concerns. If she can not handle the pressure of being the CEO of Ebay,  how will she handle the pressure of being the Governor.   Why was the police not called and a police report filed ?   Why was there not arrest ?  Shov... Oakland Taser Death Or Handgun Death What is the Difference?
Posted On 07/09/2010 14:10:54 by ppearson2005
I would like to send my condolences to the loved ones of the young man killed in Oakland. Convincing as that officer may have been in court of his innocence, one thing remains true, that Oscar Grant is dead.

The young man was defenseless. He could have been anyone. Convict or a pregnant protester. Controversy about the use of taser guns is not just how they effect the victim, now the controversy is if it is safe for an officer to have multiple weapons in holsters.... Read More

His article argues about the budget deficit. Ok guys lets be short and frank.

There are only two alternatives that have been given to the public.
1) Spend what you don't have
2) Cut more than you should in sp... Read More
