Posted On 01/25/2011 17:34:31 by Prepper
What the the US Government know that we do not know ?
As you can see from the information below and a link to the original source.  The US Government is soliciting information to purchase MRE's (food) for an earthquake on the "New Madrid Fault" that has not happened yet.
If you do not want to end up in a FEMA Concentration/Internment Camp you had better start preparing NOW to take care of you and your family.... Read More

Posted On 01/23/2011 14:22:34 by DeBorrahK
Many marry or have a relationship and say they love one another? For a season they may be inseparable and virtually can't keep away from one another. Initially there is much passion! But all of sudden something can happen and it all changes? You don't quite feel the same…   Many often really just fall for the “idea” of marriage rather than the marriage itself! A turning point in the relationship happens and there is a dramatic change of heart! Unexpectedly they almost de... Read More

Eating fish elevated in omega-3 essential fatty acids have been associated with a reduced risk of stroke. New research suggests it's not simply how much fish you take in that matters, but exactly how it's prepared.

Dr. Fadi Nahab of Emory University led a team that studied the role of race and geography in stroke incidence, with a particular focus on the “Stroke... Read More

A misleading job posting
Posted On 12/31/2010 18:38:30 by i-need-a-job
So in looking for a job on craigslist,  I found this job below.  So I call the number to apply.
Call me stupid,  but a job is a job.  With a job you are paid a salary or commission. If it is a job you should not have to pay them.
Well after calling the phone number in the ad there is a initial cost of $397.00 and additional fees of approx $220.00 each and every month.
If you have to pay them money it is a business opportunity not a job,  and th... Read More

California Senate Bill 1411
Posted On 12/22/2010 20:12:55 by SacramentoGrapevine
California has just passed Senate Bill 1411 Online Impersonation which goes into effect January 1,  2011,  as the operator of SacramentoGrapevine.com & SanFranciscoGrapevine.com I am dismayed at Senator Simitian for this not only poorly written Bill but also stupid Bill.
Let me take you on a few examples;  What constitutes "harming,  intimidating, threatening or defrauding another person" ? As all of these terms could be and are very subjective.

Pay Increases for the AOC not called "increases" by the AOC's Chief Deputy Director?

http://cocra.org/2009/12/aoc-employees-get- raises-in-the-middle-of-court- closures

"Between February 2008 and July 2009, the AOC elevated nearly 80 employees, and raised their pay as much as 31 percent, brushing aside its own self-imposed freeze on promotions, according to payroll records from the State Controller's Office.

The records show that while the... Read More

"Governor, don't lock the stable after the horse is stolen!"
Posted On 11/21/2010 20:35:56 by CrockPotPatty
Reading the Sacramento Bee this morning brought up the question surrounding wages and reimbursements of California State Administration Officials. in my previous blog, I described administrations of government as "Headless" in nature. I also described their behaviors as "Headless horse thieves riding on the backs of stolen property."

Administrations that do not have oversight, other than public scrutiny and non-profit agencies, are free to over price their services. The supply and de... Read More

The Mug With A Message
Posted On 11/17/2010 19:55:53 by TRANSFORMED
In 2001, I designed the Transformed by His Grace mug for a Christian women's conference in Tallahassee, Florida. They were a huge hit! After the conference, people contacted me wanting to purchase the mugs, but, unfortunately, I could only sell them in large quantities through my employer.   On Dec. 30th of 2004, I was driving home from Cape Coral, FL with my family when I felt led to form a new company that can distribute these mugs at lower quantities, even one at a time, to those who wou... Ferret Theory LV Costco wants liquor initiative to pass but it fails in Washington State?   My question is, why? A fortune 500 company built in the ‘State of Washington' and the people of Washington, will not support Costco's wants and needs? Maybe because they know something about Costco. I don't know? But, somebody must up there in Washington. With more than two-thirds of the expected vote counted, Initiative 1100 was losing by more than 73,000 votes, with 52 percent of vote... Read More

Financial Crimes
Posted On 11/03/2010 13:15:56 by FinancialCrime
When is the State of California going to wake up and take Financial Crimes for the serious crime that they are ?
I am sick and tired of seeing persons who committed serious financial crimes get off with a slap on the hand.
Take the case of Ex Sacramento Sheriff Lieutenant Michael Patrick Leary who committed grand theft and forging property transfer.
Michael Patrick Leary was offered a deal to plead guilty to a misdemeanor and gets 3 years of informa... Read More

Public Service or Public Fleecing
Posted On 11/01/2010 09:01:48 by An-American-Taxpayer
Public Service or Public Fleecing ?
We hear on Radio & TV ads every election how this candidate or that candidate has been a public servant for 20 plus years and all they have done to make things better.
Senator Jeff Bingaman is now serving his 5th term. Senator Barbara Boxer served 10 years in the House and is now serving her 4th term.
The list goes on and on with persons who claim to be Public Servants but in reality are Life Time Politicians.
