Why are we the taxpayers, paying high salaries to FDA employees in their enforcement division to do nothing but write letters ?
Take for example the product "Stiff Nights", the FDA issues only a warning letter and a press release.
Take for example the products which claim to , diagnose or prevent or cure the H1N1 Flu the FDA issues only a warning letter and a press release.
Why can the FDA not team with the FTC to do more than just send warning letters. If the FTC were involved they would not only shut down the offenders, but seize their ill gotten gains, and send them to jail.
Because no penalty is ever handed over by the FDA to these companies, more companies just do the same thing.
Additionally, please explaine to me why the government does not place the sales of these products in the same category as marijuana ? If marijuana is illegal and the government seizes all of the money and sends people to jail, why not these people who are also selling illegal drugs ? It seam to me that the Government has a double standard.
